2014 yılının ilk yarısında 2 bin 243 başvurudan 603 ü patent tesciline hak kazandı. Türk patent Enstitüsü'nden (TPE) yapılan yazılı açıklamaya göre, sanayinin gelişmişlik göstergelerinden olan patent ve marka başvuruları gün geçtikçe artıyor. Geçen yılın ilk 6 ayında 575 farklı ürüne patent verilirken, bu yılın ilk yarısında 2 bin 243 başvurudan 603'ü patent aldı. Marka Tescil Bereketi Yerli marka başvurularında da benzer tablo yaşandı. Bu yılın Ocak-Haziran döneminde 33 bin 547 yeni marka tescillendi. Yerli tasarım alanında Türk Patent Enstitüsü'ne gelen başvurularda da ciddi artış gözlendi. Yılın ilk 6 ayında 23 bin 563 ürüne yerli tasarım belgesi verildi. Aynı dönemde Faydalı Model için verilen tescil belgesi sayısı da 1.151 oldu. Dikkat Çeken Buluşlara Patent Başvurular arasında Türk girişimci ve tasarımcılarının birbirinden ilginç buluşları dikkati çekti. Bu yılın şubat ayında yapılan "kağıt malzemeyle imal edilen kolsuz T-shirt ve çorap" başvurusu kabul edilerek marka tescil aldı.
